On January 30th, TalkingChina held its annual year-end grand gathering. Colleagues from Shanghai, Shenzhen and Beijing gathered online to reminisce about the past, exchange greetings and look forward to the new journey.

At 11 a.m., the online year-end summary meeting officially kicked off. In her speech, Cherry, the company’s Deputy General Manager, systematically reviewed the overall performance trends and customer distribution over the past five years, and announced the list of key clients and successful bids from the past year. She highlighted that the company’s overseas projects saw a notable surge in 2025, with on-site interpretation services in foreign countries emerging as a distinct trend. Additionally, combining specific cases, Cherry shared the practical applications of TalkingChina’s AI simultaneous interpretation technology, and announced on the spot the list of employees who have served the company for a decade, extending her sincere gratitude to them.
Subsequently, colleagues from TalkingChina’s Shenzhen and Beijing offices, as well as the Translation Department, took turns sharing their work insights from the past year and outlooks for the new year via online connection. Smiles and applause intertwined on and off the screen; though miles apart, everyone felt as if they were in the same room, with friendship and resonance flowing through the virtual space.
Finally, Sisi, the General Manager, delivered a summary of all colleagues’ shares. She acknowledged that the industry faced shocks and challenges brought by AI technology over the past year, while also emphasizing that the professionalism, cultural adaptability and creativity of human translation remain irreplaceable. Looking ahead to 2026, she urged all TalkingChina members to continue deepening their efforts in the following areas: first, seizing the opportunities of enterprise globalization and enhancing multilingual service capabilities; second, focusing on professional fields such as patent translation to achieve greater depth and strength; third, actively leveraging technological tools such as AI to improve service efficiency and experience. Sisi also specially advocated for the team to prioritize work-life balance, and embrace the future with sustained passion and a healthy state of being.
At noon, colleagues present offline raised their glasses to celebrate, sharing warm moments together over delicious food and joyful laughter. In the afternoon, everyone returned to the office and took part in a unique Guandan friendly competition. After several rounds of lively contests, the champions, first runners-up and second runners-up were crowned one after another, and every participant took away a warm and delightful memory in this winter.
